End Of Grade Test

The EOGs are fast approaching. They will be given the week of May 10th. Below you will find a list of websites to help your child review questions similar to those find on the EOGs. If you would like a hard copy of questions please send in a note and I will get materials from the office. Please talk to your child about taking their time, working out problems on paper, checking over answers for reasonableness, and thinking through those that may seem challenging. It is a state law that those students who do not pass the test the first time will be required to retake the test.

Homework

Homework will be given out Monday (due Wednesday), Wednesday (due Friday), Friday (due next Monday), next Monday (due next Wednesday), and next Wednesday (due next Friday).

Make sure to ask your child questions as they read nightly. Vary your questioning to include why questions and what do you think will happen next kinds of questions.


Tardiness/Absenteeism

Please make sure your child arrives at school on time. Even when they arrive 5 or 10 minutes late can risk them missing valuable learning opportunities. School starts at 8am.


End of Year Trips

4th and 5th graders attending end of year trips should have turned in permission slips and all money now. If you forgot to send in forms or payment please do this ASAP. We are finalizing our numbers Wednesday.

The third grade information packets for their end of year trip will go home this week.


Volunteering

Do you have a free moment before, during or after school to help with last minute tutoring. Please contact Mrs. Miller. Every little bit will help.
